poster series: hamlet
this one was more inspired by the swiss style — though elements of the polish poster school are still there.

"Shared Illusion" by Nestor
This striking pencil drawing portrays humanoids intricately connected with numerous cables and machines, illustrating a shared illusion of reality. Ships sink into a swirling vortex, while a landscape featuring pyramids and crystals looms in the background. The artwork serves as a critique of technological dependence and invites viewers to reflect on the complexities of human existence and perception.

The Two Paths~
At Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris, the architecture plays with perception. In this image, a hallway splits into two mirrored paths, both curved, both enveloped in yellow glow, and both leading somewhere just out of reach. The blur is not a flaw but a feature—a gentle reminder that clarity is often a fleeting guest in the passage of time. There is something humbling about the idea that every…

What I love about this picture is how everything in it says something about, and indeed reflects various parts of, the nature of the presumed owner of that house.
I guess what I'm really saying is that I think, with respect to said owner's nature, this picture gets more honest the farther down you go. (And if the details of the bottom are hard to make out, it is a very unwelcoming-looking fence with some vicious dogs barking and growling and jumping up behind it.)

CTS A | Discuss the Seven Weekly Topics As a Whole
When I think about the Critical Thinking Skills module, I visualise a maze - because it reflects the complexity of the idea, involving multiple layers that I would come to discover. It isn’t just about following a straight path - but also exploration of different routes, making connections, and sometimes being surprised by where those connections lead. The twists and turns are like different concepts that might not seem related at first but once pieced together, provide clarity.
Tumblr media
If I had to propose an alternative metaphor, it would be a kaleidoscope. With each turn of the lens, the fragments (representing different ideas and perspectives) shift, giving new patterns and insights.

My favourite session was the group discussion where we reflected on the journal prompts and wrote our contributions on a piece of paper. It was memorable because working with my friends allowed me to observe how they moved, interacted, and engaged with each other in this type of setting - and I realized how the dynamics could change depending on the ideas being shared.
One notable moment I clearly remember was when we occasionally clashed due to our different ideas and ways of thinking. These clashes - though challenging - were valuable to me as they offered opportunities to improve collaboration skills and learn how to strategically communicate my thoughts and ideas. Moments like these also allowed us to exercise emotional intelligence - not only being aware of others' perspectives but also recognizing their emotions and adjusting our approach accordingly. This experience was a fruitful takeaway as it helped us navigate disagreements thoughtfully, manage group dynamics, and foster a more respectful and productive environment.
Looking back, I wish I had been more proactive and focused during the discussion. I sometimes find my attention span shortens as I get distracted by my own thoughts. Being more engaged in the moment would have allowed me to contribute more effectively and fully benefit from the insights my friends shared.

"Fade Away" by Nestor
This black and white ink drawing captures a poignant moment of a man crying as he begins to fade away. His body appears to crack and disintegrate, transforming into vapor that dissipates into the air. The artwork explores themes of sorrow and loss, conveying the fragility of the human experience and the haunting beauty of transformation.

🜛 like trying to lipread a landslide. this image feels exactly like that — recognisable shapes, blurred mid-motion. comprehension pulled through fog.
for those of us with APD or deafness, group conversations aren’t sound — they’re chase scenes.
faces shift. voices overlap. you lunge for meaning but catch only ghosts of sentences.
you nod. you smile. you miss. you loop.
& still you reach for clarity like it might hold this time.

mourneress ~ 𝓝𝓪𝓽𝓪𝓵𝓲𝓪 𝓓𝓻𝓮𝓹𝓲𝓷𝓪
My soul crumbled into a thousand pieces. I stitched these scraps of the past with threads of memories, but they were so tattered that they fell apart from my touch.
